Im Büro einer Brennerei sitzen heute in der Regel nur noch wenige Personen. Typischerweise sind dies der Brennerei-Manager und eine Bürokraft. Sie führen Buch über die Rohstoffanlieferung und den Whiskyabtransport. Hier werden auch die Mitarbeiter für die Schichten geplant und der Einsatz externer Kräfte koordiniert. Jeder, der die Brennerei betritt, muss sich im Büro anmelden.
Bevor die Brennereien von den großen Konzernen aufgekauft wurden, hatte das Büro noch weitreichendere Aufgaben. Lohnbuchhaltung, Einkauf und Vertrieb waren ebenfalls im Büro angesiedelt. In dem freigewordenen Platz befindet sich heute des öfteren ein Besucherzentrum mit Ausstellung.
Leider ist das Büro heute nicht besetzt.

Today, there are only very few people in a distillery
office. These people are typically the distillery manager and a clerk. They keep track of the supply of raw materials as well as the transportation of
whisky. Here, the shift schedules are planned as well as the use of external
labour. Everybody entering the distillery has to report to the office.
Before the big companies bought the distilleries, the office had much more far-reaching
tasks. Labour payment, purchasing and sales were as well done in the
office. Today, the visitor center typically resides in the space left over.
