The Glendronach Distillerie gehört zu den ältesten in Schottland und arbeitete von 1826 bis 1996 nach dem traditionellen Herstellungsverfahren mit Kohlefeuerung und eigener Mälzung. 2002 wurde sie wieder eröffnet und auf Grund von EU-Abgasvorschriften auf Dampffeuerung umgestellt.

Sie liegt am äußeren östlichen Rand des Speysidegebietes inmitten des schottischen Hochlandes.

The Glendronach Distillery belongs to the oldest  in Scotland. It worked since 1826 until 1996 with the same traditional proceedures of coal firing and floor maltings. The firing was changed to modern steam heating due to new EC-pollution laws.

It is situated at the border of the Speyside in the middle of the Scottish Highlands.

The Glendronach Distillery was mothballed in 1996. Since 2002 the distillery is back into operation.
