Es gibt ein 360 Grad Panoramabild der Brennerei.

In einer Mulde zwischen den welligen Hügeln von Kilpatrick und dem Fluss Clyde versteckt, etwas nördlich der Stadt Glasgow (an der A 82 nahe der Erskine Bridge), liegt das herrliche Anwesen von Auchentoshan. Im Schatten der umliegenden Lärchen weiden Schafe auf den grünen Wiesen. Daher auch der Name Auchentoshan (sprich: Ochentóschen), der übersetzt „Feldecke" heißt. Heute ist Auchentoshan umringt von den neuen Häusern der sich ausweiten Siedlungen im Großraum Glasgow.

Mir klarem Quellwasser speist das Loch Cochno in den Kilpatrick Hills die urige alte Brennerei, die sich mit Stolz seit 1823 ihres nahezu einzigartigen Verfahrens der Dreifachdestillation bedient. Bei Auchentoshan wird die Destillation nach alter Lowland Tradition in drei Stufen aufgeteilt, um ein noch reineres „Herzstück" aufzufangen. Dieser alte Prozess bringt einen leichten, sanften Whisky hervor. Diese Leichtigkeit bedeutet keineswegs Mangel an Charakter, sondern gehört zum Stil des Gebietes. Denn Auchentoshan ist, auf seine leise Art, ein klarer Malt von großer Komplexität, der eine perfekte Alternative zum wuchtigen Stil der anderen Regionen bietet: Es ist die sprichwörtliche Feinheit. Auchentoshan ist ein appetitanregender Single Malt und deshalb zu Begrüßung geschätzter Gäste bestens geeignet.

Vielleicht schreibt auch aus diesem Grund Michael Jackson in seinem Buch „Malt Whisky", dass Auchentoshan seinen Rang als Klassiker verdient.

In a hollow, hidden between the wavy hills of Kilpatrick and the river Clyde, somewhat in the north of the city Glasgow (at the A 82 and close to the Erskine Bridge), lies the wonderful estate of Auchentoshan. In the shadow of the surrounding larches sheeps are feeding on the green meadows. The name Auchentoshan translates into "field corner".  Today Auchentoshan is surrounded of the new houses of the expanding settlements in the region of Glasgow.

The Loch Cochno feeds the old distillery with clear spring water from the Kilpatrick Hills, which avails itself with pride since 1823 of its almost singular procedure of three-step-distillation. The distillation at Auchentoshan is divided after old Lowland tradition in three stages, in order to catch a purer "heart". This old process brings out an easy, gentle Whisky. This ease does not mean any lack of character, but belongs to the style of the area. Because Auchentoshan is - in its quiet kind - a clear Malt with a large complexity, which offers a perfect alternative to the heavy style of the other regions. It is the proverbial refinement. Auchentoshan is an appetite energizing Single Malt and therefore in the best way suitable to welcome your guests.

It might be the reason for Michael Jackson to write in his book "Malt Whisky", "Auchentoshan really deserved its rank as a classical".
