Nach zwei Stunden Fahrt zunächst in nördliche, dann in nordwestliche Richtung erreicht man von Toronto aus das Städtchen Collingwood am Lake Superior. Die Brennerei befindet sich im Industriegebiet der Stadt, gleich gegenüber der örtlichen Stärke Fabrik. Die Brennerei gehört zur Brown-Forman Gesellschaft, dem Produzent von Jack Daniel's.

Der Canadian Mist ist der meistverkaufte kanadische Whisky in den USA, knapp in Führung vor dem Seagram's VO und dem Canadian Club.

Auch Canadian Mist setzt Rye Whisky dem Mais Whisky zu, um den Geschmack zu verstärken. Den Rye Whisky bezieht Canadian Mist aus der Early Times Brennerei in Kentucky.

After a two hours drive at first in norther later in north-western direction from Toronto, you reach the city Collingwood on the shore of Lake Superior. The distillery is placed in the industrial zone of the town close to a starch plant. The distillery belongs to Brown-Forman Corporation which produces the Jack Daniel's also.

Canadian Mist is the best sold Canadian Whisky in the USA only barely ahead of  Seagram's VO and Canadian Club.

Also Canadian Mist uses rye whisky for it's grain whisky (maize) to inrich the taste. The rye whisky is supplied by the Early Times distillery in Kentucky.

Neben der Canadian Mist Brennerei befindet sich die Nacan Stärkemittel Fabrik, die bis in die frühen 80er auch die Rohstoffe für die Canadian Mist Brennerei bereitstellte. Zwischen der Stärke Fabrik und der Brennerei befindet sich auch eine Rohrleitung, über die die Brennerei Nacan mit heißem Prozessdampf versorgt.

Close to the Canadian Mist distillery you find the Nacan starch plant, which produced raw materials for the distillery until the early 80s. Between the starch plant and the Candian Mist distillery is a pipeline, through which steam is guided from the distillery to the Nacan plant.
